They said "everything in the store" was on sale.
Local store was closing down a while back. They said everything in the store was on sale. So I bought some socks. And I liked one of the signs they used to show which area you're shopping in. I wanted to buy that. They said "everything." It's not confusing. I know what everything means. Plus, they're closing down - what the hell are they going to need those signs for anyway? The hardest bit was negotiating a price. As if either one of us knew anything. I didn't know how much the sign was worth to me. The clerk certainly didn't know how much to value it. $40? Sure, sounds good to me. Write it up! Now I know where "Home" is.
